8 Hottest Sex Positions To Try Tonight

With that in mind, we asked Oloni to share the eight hottest sex positions with you.

    1. Sofa Surfer Sex Position

What? Get ready for some good sexual satisfaction with this position. Don’t worry, it’s very easy and will hit your g-spot too.

How? “The receiving partner sits on the armrest of a sofa and gently lowers his upper body onto the chair, legs stretched and raised. The giving partner stands in front of the receiving partner’s buttocks and places their legs on their shoulders as they wrap their arms around their thighs,” explains Oloni.

“The angle of the receiving partner’s hips allows the giving partner to penetrate deeply and target those all-important internal hot spots with relative ease for explosive results. The pace can be set by the giving partner, and they can also free up a hand for stimulation of external erogenous zones such as the nipples, clitoris, penis or testicles.

    2. Gender Position of the Airplane

What? Of course we can’t travel abroad for the time being. But you can definitely travel to O-Town with this move… Apparently this sex position is one of the best for deep vaginal penetration, and you have both your and your partner’s hands free for more play.

How? “The giving partner sits on the floor with their legs spread,” explains Oloni. “The receiving partner sits on top of the giving partner with their backs to them and their legs extended and wide apart.”

    3. Bear hug sex position

What? Like satisfying those deep, hungry internal spots? Then you will love the bear hug. You can choose your intensity – and depth – it’s a good choice to suit your needs.

How? “The receiving partner stands and raises one leg in a bent position to help welcome the giving partner, using a wall or bed for support, depending on how upright they want to be,” explains Oloni. “The giving partner stands behind the receiving partner in a tight embrace and penetrates him, holding the receiving partner’s waist to pull them toward him.”

    4. Mirror Mirror Sex Position

What? Oral sex can be Real good – if done right. With the Mirror Mirror movement, both you and your partner can go to town to please each other with their mouths and hands at the same time. Top tip from the sex pert: take turns up or down, mixing it with oral and hand stimulation of each other’s hot spots.

How? “The top partner gets on all fours in a slightly elevated position, with their knees apart and on the floor, and their hands shoulder-width apart and also on the floor,” explains Oloni. “The bottom partner lies on their back with their head between their partner’s legs and their own legs bent at the knees and hip-width apart. The bottom partner can grab the top partner’s buttocks to help lead them in.”

    5. Pelvic Pike Sex Position

What? Looking for a more intimate, sexy atmosphere? Enter the podium to the right of the Pelvic Pike. It is for the flexible and not for the faint hearted.

How? “A partner lies on their back with their legs in the air. The other partner faces the lying partner in a sitting position with their knees apart, and leans into their partner’s raised legs, placing both crosses together to rub or penetrate,” she says.

Her advice? “Take it easy with sensual pelvic crunches, or explore vaginal or anal penetration, adjusting the depth of penetration by raising or lowering the hips of the lying partner.”

    6. Yin and Yang Sex Position

What? Do you get excited by external stimulation? Then Yin and Yang are for you and promise to help you rub, thrust or tease your way to the ultimate orgasm.

How? “One partner is lying on their back with their legs spread. The other partner is lying on their side and looking in the opposite direction, positioning their body to look like two scissors crossing and touching at the base where the blades would meet,” she says.

“This scissor-like position is usually associated with two people with vulvas rubbing against each other, but Yin and Yang is fantastic for all types of genitals, be it vulva to vulva, vulva and penis, or penis and penis.”

Rub against each other, enjoy penetrative sex, explore position as part of foreplay, grind against other body parts or let the hands go to town to stimulate all those pleasure-hungry external hot spots – Yin and Yang should be interpreted as suiting your to wish.”

    7. Post It Note Sex

What? This one sounds nice. Each of you write a favorite and achievable sexual fantasy on a post-it, fold it up and put it in a jar. Try ten suggestions each and then each week, take turns choosing one of the surprises and actually implement them.

How? “If that sounds too complicated or demanding, just do little things to make sure your partner knows that sex is important to you,” advises Oloni. Remember – trying the hottest sex positions is just that. Hot.

    8. Main course sex

What? Date nights are back with a bang. With WFH coming to an end for many of you, it might be the right time to reintroduce date nights into your relationship. They were a struggle during the lockdown, right? Lovehoney’s research showed that 40% of couples enjoy date nights and that sex is on the agenda during 80% of those dates.

How? “What better way to show your other half that you care than to arrange something special with sex as the main course?” Oloni suggests.

So why have we experimented more sexually?

In short, because we had more time on our hands, more time at home, and because we’re all a little – er, no, all – bored.

Lovehoney sex expert Oloni shares: “Sitting at home for a whole year means more quality time with your partner than you ever imagined.” And apparently more quality time = more sex too.

Do you not live with your partner? We are sure you have found your way, with the number of people trying video sex and sexts skyrocketing.

“Working from home has given many of us more flexibility,” continues Oloni. “Not only does it make daytime sessions much more feasible, but it also gives you the extra time to shake up your sexual routine. Boredom can be a fantastic stimulus for sexual experimentation.”

    Hear, hear.

So why is sexual experimentation good for a relationship?

They say variety is the spice of life — and it’s certainly what will lead to a long and happy sex life, according to the pro.

“Sex is like food – eat the same meal every night and no matter how good the food is, you will eventually tire of it. Why should sex be any different?” she asks.

Note this: she thinks that no matter how good your technique is, sex is always better when there’s an element of surprise in it. “This is especially important if you’ve been with the same partner for a long time and you both have routines that you know you enjoy,” she explains.
